Some people say that, as soon as you do something that gets negative publicity, it is a sign you've done something fantastic. If that is the case, than photographer François Rousseau most certainly made it to that level - but that we already knew.
AMOR CAUSA, LES BEAUTITUDES, is the title of Rousseau's latest project. The creator of Dieux du Stade and Princes de l'Atlantique went to the favela of Rio de Janeiro in order to create an exciting and touching 'Bible reloaded', a magnificent series of portraits and photographic fresco's, imagining a contemporary Christ, by using people from the streets. A new search for religion? No, not at all. This is all about simple and pure beauty.
Personal hygiene and beauty product manufacturer Renova shared François's vision and created a fantastic campaign with Rousseau's imagery in combination with the text of les Béautitudes. The result can unfortunately not been seen here in France, since the BVP has forbidden the publicity of the campaign, using as excuse the images might be painful for certain religious orientated persons...
Our neighbors in Spain and Portugal are more lucky, they get the full scoop.

However, Francois's book Amor Causa, les Béatitudes, is available in stores, and next from march 10 till 20th 2006, Amor Causa will be exhibited in the Grand Palace, here in Paris.

Pauvre BVP !
Jules II

More or less nothing seems important. It's not important. Shrug. Whatever. I've just been hanging out doing nothing, but eh. I can't be bothered with anything lately.
