The iconic film, Brokeback Mountain is like the best Bach concerto: every frame feels as if it should follow the next, every performance is completely natural. Certainly one of our favorite movies of 2005/2006, this triple Oscar winner has shaken the Hollywood film industry. The first film produced by a Hollywood studio to feature a gay romance that doesn't involve drag queens, AIDS or buffoonery, Brokeback Mountain is an essential film that belongs in every library.
Brokeback Mountain will now be available on DVD in letterbox version. This means it will be shown the way it was projected in theaters – rectangular with black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. This way you're seeing the entire image, which is better than a pan and scan version in which the studio clips off both sides of the image to fit a standard TV. We strongly recommend the letterbox version so you can experience the film as the director intended.
Brokeback Mountain will be released on DVD on April 04th.
