35 Years old Ernest has lives the past 13 years in New York City, where he had a variety of jobs, as so many other artistic talents do in this vibrant place. Ernest mostly focused his professional life into the fashion and entertainment industry, and that is not a bad place to develop your creative skills. Although being a photographer for 17 years, he really started to focus on the male beauty since living in NYC.
Since two years Ernest splits his life between living in New York and Santa Domingo, in the Dominican Republic. A significant difference in lifestyle, and also a source for variety in his subjects, as his photos proof. Over the years, Ernest has build quite a reputation as a photographer who can take the average guy and make him look deity, which has resulted in the fact he does not really need to go out and find models. They usually find him. Most of the guys shown here never posed in front of the camera before. Ernest tactic: "I spend a lot of time talking to them and trying to make sure they are comfortable. I rarely give them posing direction. I allow them to move and communicate any way they see fit. In the end it creates an image that is hopefully sexy and beautiful, gentle but still masculine. Most of my guys can't believe what they look like once they see the photographs." Ernest loves what he does, something that clearly shows in his work.-B-
