Dean, for the five people out there who really do not know who you are, can you please introduce yourself?
Dean: Well I am Dean Monroe. Originally of Greek origin I’m based in London and have been working in the gay porn industry for 6 years now. My name was given to me by the director of my first film because he though I had a classic Hollywood sort of glamor about me. He thought I looked like a young Errol Flynn so he use Marilyn Monroe and James Dean as inspiration.

Looking at your recent work it seems like you haven’t lost your enthusiasm after 6 years. It seems like you are enjoying your work. Can you tell us what made you decide to enter this business?
Dean: I had a naughty boyfriend at the time who decided to send my photo to a gay magazine in London. At that time they were casting for a film called the White Room and thought my photo was a model application for the film. They called me in for an audition, and that’s how it all started.

Please tell us about the first day on the set… What was it like for you?
Dean: The first day on the set was horrible. But that was only until I took my clothes off… Then everything seem to come naturally. Even the director thought I had done this before, but I hadn't. My first scene partner was a straight guy who turned out to be very nice and made the whole experience even better.

Dean, we can not ignore the fact you are a very sexy guy. Do you get recognized on the street? If so, how do you feel about that?
Dean: I do get recognized on the street, mostly by gay men of course. Porn has a strange way of having a global existence. I can go to any country and men will still point at me and say ‘it’s him.’ I really don’t mind it but I don’t thrive on it either. Porn for me has and will always be ‘a serious hobby.’

Can you share with us the funniest thing that happened during a shooting?
Dean: Well I guess it must have been on the set of Heaven To Hell. I had the most elaborate costume playing the devil of course. During sex my prosthetic horns kept on falling off and my facial tattoo was smudging. So in the middle of the sex scene the make up artist was continuously having to glue and touch up my face... it made us all laugh. Luckily my horn didn’t get lost in some obscure hole somewhere…

Ha ha ha… And what about the most embarrassing?
Dean: Probably when I shot Cross Country in New Zealand. Most of the film was shot out on location. I had to go and clean up after the scene and decided to wander down to the lake close to where we were. Unknown to me there were some tourists as well, checking out the lake, and I ran right into them naked and covered in my co stars sperm. I think they were more shocked than me though.

What is your favorite food? Pizza.
What music do you listen to? My favorite is Motown.
Do you like to cuddle? For sure.
Do you have pets? Unfortunately not.
Your idea of a romantic evening? Champagne, chocolates, a huge bathtub, and Mr Perfect.
What do you prefer in a man professionally? Confidence, strength, great smile, and clean breath.
And personally? The same as above.

Is there a man in your life, or is there still hope for one of our readers?
Dean: There is a man in my life, for the last year now. But that hasn't stopped me from working so you can all still watch my work and pretend I’m single ☺

Dean, if we could give you the chance to direct the perfect scene, what scenario would you like to do, and moreover, with who?
Dean: I would love to organize a scene with a group of real professional bodybuilders in a gym changing room all lined up with me on the receiving end.

What is the next step in your career?
Dean: I’ve just finished recording some songs I wrote and hope to present them to the public in December. For the near future I’m also working on my own production company called DEAN MONROES WORLD.
