Warning! Greg Thompson

JUST IMAGINE, YOU WANDER INTO A NICE CLEAN PUBLIC MENS-ROOM AND FIND THERE A GORGEOUS PIECE OF MASCULINITY, DRESSED IN NOTHING MORE THAN HIS UNDIES, AND THESE ARE ALMOST OFF AS WELL. A DREAM FOR MOST, BUT A REALITY FOR GREG THOMPSON. A SELF-MADE REALITY THAT IS.

Greg Thompson is a native New Yorker and has made name for himself as well published fashion photographer. His photos have graced many international magazine cover, like Blue, Pref and Inches. Recently he also shot an underwear campaign for fashion designer Andrew Christian. No I hear you asking yourself, what has that all to do with an almost naked guy in a mens-room. Well, look more closely. Have you ever seen such a collection of male adult stars in one photographers portfolio. And what we bring you here today, is of course just the tiny top of a massive iceberg.

Besides the handful of goodies Greg presents us here – and if you are a connoisseur you probably already recognized Benjamin Bradley, Brendon Davies, Tommy Blade, Nick Marino, Sebastian Cole, Luca Dicorso and Johnny Hazzard – you will find a lot more beautiful photos of the crème de la crème of the gay adult industry on Greg’s website portfolio’s. Greg Thompson is the man behind Channel 1 Releasing and Rascal Video’s glossy and slick facade. He is able to shoot men that are famous for showing it all in such a tasteful and skilled way, that they look even sexier on his photos than on video, most of the time partly dressed or partly hidden. This has earned him his own Bruno Gmünder coffee table book, ‘Warning,’ which was published in 2005, and with two more books on their way, it looks like we will hear – and see – a lot more Greg Thompson in the near future. And we are not complaining.

Even though he won’t admit it, Greg also has some talent in writing. Examples of that you can find on his won My Space blog entries, where he every now and then, openly shares his  feelings about how ‘difficult’ it was to shoot Johnny Hazzard – "Johnny Hazzard is really really hard to shoot. You see, first you have to make sure the camera's pointed at him, and then you have to actually focus it too. And then after that you have to remember to press the shutter" – or how hot Joshua Adams really is – "So I've got Joshua Adams up as my primary photo (or "bait" as some would call it) right now. He's got the most viewed picture on my website. I'd like to think that it's because his pictures are some of the sexiest pictures I've ever taken (but more realistically it because he's got a hard-on that looks like it's about a foot long)." Maybe Greg can comment his own book one day. That would definitely end up on our night table.–B-
