Thomas Paul Synnamon is relatively new on the photography scene and completely self-taught. He has been shooting for about a year now and enjoys every minute of it. "It has been a wonderful creative experience," he claims.
Late last summer, Thomas shot real life couple Max Rhyser and Paolo Pascaol. This being his first couple shot, Thomas wanted to create an intimate, realistic mise-en-scene, that would enhance the couple’s real relationship and bond the images. In order to do this, he brought the two handsome men into his own bedroom. Using his camera as a voyeuristic tool, and only the gorgeous late summer natural light, Thomas captured the private, sensual alone time of this couple that others rarely get to see. It turned out to be a sexy, cozy and relaxed editorial about two men at home and deeply in love.
Max and Paolo are a true multi-cultural couple. Max is of Danish, American and Israeli decent was born in Amsterdam and lives in New York. Paolo is Angolan and Brazilian, was born in Portugal, lives in Montreal but is about to relocate to Manhattan. The couple has been together for a year now, and Thomas discovered them on the popular model site Model Mayhem. For this wonderful session the styling was kept to a minimum, and Thomas focused on the juxtaposition of the couple – whose looks are as different as night and day – and together made a stunning chiaroscuro human composition.
Even though Thomas Synnamon has been shooting many other models since, this late summer session has become one of his special memories because of the close setting, the ease of the shoot and the beautiful couple. In this case, three was definitely not a crowd. It seems that with photography, Thomas Synnamon has found his true love. –B-

I saw the loveliest gay photos in Voima magazine last weekend, "Viimeiset torpparit". Two etherial, feminine men with white horses, like the cowboys from Brokeback Mountain. And they are being harassed by the landowner! Shouldn't these guys be saved by the macho gays with more muscle power?

the pics are really quite beautiful. I love the grainy quality. The poses are intimate in a way that has more to do with each other than in presenting something for the viewer. Beautiful!
