Simon vs. Simon

IF THE ANCIENT ETRUSCAN AND ROMAN SCULPTORS, WHO SO WELL VISUALIZED THEIR ETERNAL GODS AND WAR HEROES IN BRONZE AND MARBLE, WOULD STILL BE LOOKING FOR REAL LIFE MODELS, FOR SURE SIMON HOWARD WOULD BE ON TOP OF THEIR WISH LIST. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT EFFECT A LARGER THEN LIFE BRONZE OF THIS DIVINE MAN ON THE CAPITOL HILL IN ANCIENT ROME COULD HAVE HAD?

Simon Howard is a rising star. Not only in the tasteful portfolio of photographer Simon ‘Hotsnapz’ Barnes, but also in the exciting world of competitive bodybuilding. Simon is 25 years old, and lives in Colchester Essex, United Kingdom. Yes we know. Hardly the capital of the ancient Roman Empire, but with his length of 5’11 Simon would most certainly not have been misplaced in the old Forum or on the roof of one of the ornate temples. Apparently Simon is not only a divine body with an angelic face, he also appears to be a thoroughly nice guy, which is a nice given as well. As for now Simon goes without any model agency contract, but we are sure that won’t be for long, given his looks and the fact he has a brother – Christian – who also works as actor/model and paved the way. If model scouts are the modern Roman sculptors, they must be lining up as we speak.

Besides competitive body building, Simon Howard is also known from playing rugby on national level and from being the British title holder in Korean karate. Not exactly the easiest sports, and ones that require strong passion and discipline. Still Simon has decided he will leave it behind to focus on his model career, which apparently asks for just as much determination: "It seems everyone wants to be a model, but I’ve found out its not as easy as it looks. I’ve stopped competing to fully focus on modeling." For now, Simon found the perfect combination in both careers. He is a La Muscle sponsored athlete and can also be seen on there ads and websites.

As for Simon Barnes - alias Hotsnapz, he still keeps going strong as well. We haven’t brought you much of his work after the well received interview we published in  but that is soon going to change. Starting today with this portrait of Simon Howard. –B-
