THE UNWRITTEN RULE OF ADULT PHOTOGRAPHY SEAMS TO DICTATE SOMETHING LIKE THIS: GET A GUY NAKED, GET HIM HARD, GET HIM TO SMOLDER, POUT AND SIMMER WHILE CONTORTING HIS BODY INTO A SERIES OF UNNATURAL-BUT-SEXY LOOKING POSES, AND SNAP AWAY TO YOUR HEART’S CONTENT. A FORMULA THAT ANYONE WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH A CAMERA CAN FOLLOW. SO IT IS A REFRESHING PLEASURE TO SEE THAT THERE ARE ACTUALLY PHOTOGRAPHERS WHO ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO TAKE A VERY DIFFERENT APPROACH, WHO CUSTOMIZE THEIR STYLE, WHO IN FACT 'TAYLOR-MAKE' THE GENRE.

Although it served its purpose, it might be time to find another way to do this. Fortunately there are people like Kent Taylor who is capable of making the change. Kent is known as one of the industry’s most reliable, solid and visionary photographers, a man who makes his own rules and, by doing so, has succeeded in creating a new ingredient in the genre: iconography.

The list of Raging Stallion actors is endless, but all these men have at least one thing in common. All of them are beautiful in the most masculine way. You won’t find smooth polished gym boys in the stables of Raging Stallion. All men are natural and radiate a sexuality as nothing else. These men have appeared in films and in photos made by many artists, but rarely have they looked so classically sexy, edgy or downright studly as they do in the photos made by Kent Taylor.

Kent Taylor, who by the way is not so bad looking himself either, has been a professional photographer for 25 years. He studied the art at Massachusetts College of Art and later at the San Francisco Art Institute where he got his BA in photography. His work has been widely published and exhibited. About ten years ago, Kent was given the opportunity to work with hot House Entertainment where he met Chris Ward. When Chris ward and JD Slater decided to start a brand new adult company, he insisted that Kent would join them. Kent has been, and still is, an integral part of defining the visual signature of Raging Stallion Studios.

It is too easy to dismiss his Kent's work as mere dirty pictures. They take pornographer into the realm of artistry, where eroticism holds court over commercialism and class rules supreme over crudeness. As a photographer working in pornography he might not be given the credit he deserves, but Kent's work is very bit as captivating as that of many mainstream photographers working today.

Some of Kent Taylors most beautiful and iconic work has now been assembled in Raging Stallion Magnum, a photo book containing 192 pages with full color photos of the hottest Raging Stallions. The book has been published by Bruno Gmünder and is an absolute must for those who are admires of real men in all their glory. –B-
