ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END. THAT GOES FOR GOOD SEX AS WELL AS FOR THE BEAUTIFULMAG 2008 SEX EDITION. BUT WE ARE NOT GOING TO LEAVE YOU EMPTY HANDED. WE CLOSE THIS EDITION WITH SOME NEVER PUBLISHED WORK BY TIM RICKS, PHOTOGRAPHS HE TOOK FOR A VERY SPECIAL PROJECT.
When we opened our BeautifulMag SEX Edition on Sunday October 19, we mentioned the fact that we have realized how taboo sex still can be for many people. Many consider nudity still something that can only be experienced behind closed doors. With our 2008 SEX Edition we hope we have been able to show that nudity and sex – in this case male nudity and male sex – is something beautiful and to be enjoyed as much as you can. Fortunately we are not the only ones thinking this, and we are happy to see more and more artists feel free to express themselves.
Tim Ricks is a photographer we have been admiring for quite some time. He is one of these artists who has that rare talent to translate his outspoken opinions on all kinds of controversial subjects into sublime imagery. Whether it is politics, human rights or sexual freedom, Tim has proved over and over again he can create photographs that show us the many aspects of the world we are living in.
Recently we were able to catch up with Tim Ricks while he was shooting a series of images which will be used for his end of the year project: 2009 Male Nude Greeting cards. A great initiative to end this year, and start the next. As said before, Tim is a man who doesn’t do things without reason, so it isn’t a surprise he has a meaning with his greeting cards project as well: A successful male figure model is completely confident in his own skin. He is not inhibited by any means, and impresses his viewers by his character. I have been lucky to work with amazing men with great character for my 2009 cards. And we are lucky to be able to share some of these great photos with you, as a final for our BeautifulMag 2008 SEX Edition, and an exclusive preview of Tim Ricks’ 2009 Male Nude Greeting cards. -B-

The images that you posted all week were fantastic. It was nice to see uninhibited models and photographers. None of the photos were in bad taste and it was nice to see full frontal. I think it's kind of ridiculous when the models are cupping their packages - that makes it almost dirty. When can we expect Sex Part Duex?
