IN A WORLD WHERE EVERYTHING SEEMS TO MOVE SO FAST, WHERE EVERYONE SEEMS
TO LIVE FOR THEMSELVES, FOR THEIR OWN CAREERS, THEIR OWN PLEASURES AND
SATISFACTIONS, IS THERE A PLACE FOR TRUE LOVE? IS THERE A PLACE FOR
SHARING EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AND EVERYTHING YOU ARE WITH SOMEONE YOU
COMPLETELY TRUST AND WANT TO LIVE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH? TONY AND
CLINT BELIEVE THERE IS, AND BY DOING SO, THEY HAVE BECOME THE PERFECT
EXAMPLE OF WHAT TRUE LOVE IS ABOUT.
Clint Shields has always been attractive growing up, but never really gave modeling a thought until he met this one photographer that inspired him and persuaded him to give it a try, telling Clint it isn’t just the looks that make a good model. Tony Gibble always wanted to become a model, to be that guy that looks back at you from a billboard or magazine cover. But the odds were against him, growing up as an overweight kid, turning into a super skinny teen but gaining all that extra weight back in his first serious relationship. Not entirely giving up his dream he did decide to focus on other things that make life worth living: he adopted a son, who then got diagnosed with mild autism. After he broke up from his first partner, Tony finally decided to give modeling a shot, and after working real hard, he did his first shot about 2,5 years ago and hasn’t looked back ever since. It was the modeling job that brought Clint and Tony in first contact with each other.
It definitely as love at first sight, although that first sight didn’t happen that fast. Tony and Clint first met through the comment section on the Model Mayhem website, where Tony left a genuine comment on Clint’s work. One thing led to another and after exchanging some messages on several Internet platforms, the two future loves decided to get together. It took a few months before the first meting, but after that they pretty much never again left each others side. From day one Tony and Clint decided to share their life together, take long weekends and vacations together, work together and relax together, and raise Tony’s son together. In other words, from day one, these two men instantly knew they were destined for each other. Today we bring you the story of Tony and Clint, told by themselves while we spoke with them together as one.
Since you are together in a relationship, you are doing a lot of
work together. In fact even if it is a solo shoot, you still travel
together. It can’t be that easy to spend almost 24 hours in each others
company, can it?
TONY: For us… It really can! When Clint first
moved here I got him a job working in the office I did so literally
over night we were living and working and driving to work together. We
spent every waking second together and every night wrapped in each
other’s arms. Within the first month together we made a 21 hours drive
to Kansas to visit his parents for Thanksgiving. Then two weeks later
we drove 14 hours with our son (Clint also became an outstanding
step-father over night ) to Walt Disney World Florida for our first
family trip together. So you can tell we LOVE to spend all the time we
can together that we can and it is one reason we are so thankful for
our modeling careers that we have together.
CLINT: From day one
being in Tony’s arms that’s all we have been, ONE. It’s been just past
a year we have been together and I smirk at how co-dependent we are.
There is not a moment in this world I can ever see us parting. When I
first moved here I was only 20. So I could not go out to the bars.
Friends would always call and ask to go out but Tony made a pack that
he would never leave me at home to go be with other people when the one
person he wanted to be with was at home waiting for him. To answer your
question, when you are truly in Love, There is not a moment you’d want
to be away from the other.
Shooting on a set while the other one was there to watch, what was the most difficult thing to do for you in a job?
TONY:
Ummm…. I’d have to say the most difficult was to just watch and not
join!! But really there is no tension when we are on set together. We
are totally supportive and understanding of what the other is doing. We
give each other advice and suggestions… we are a true team even when
not shooting at the same time! It helps that we are both there to share
the total experience.
CLINT: Tony was into modeling much more than I
was when we met. However, after a couple of months slacking on the
modeling starting to workout at the gym we decided its all or nothing.
This was scary for me. Tony was and is an excellent model. Very serious
and focused and knew how his body moved. Going on our shoots and doing
solos I would stand back grinning ear to ear watching my baby rock the
shot. He was doing an incredible working the camera and I knew I had to
follow that. Now today, we shoot as team. We stand back helping the
photographer catch the way the body moves, keep ideas flowing for
concepts or poses for one another and support each other keeping our
images strong and love stronger.
What is your definition of love and of sex?
Tony: What we have together! In my dictionary… the perfect Love and Sex would be described as Clint and Tony.
Clint: Love, Sex, It’s what Tony and I have, are, and always will be, together as one.
Being a model couple, do you think it is an advantage or disadvantage for you and why?
TONY:
I think in a lot of ways, although in everything there are pros and
cons, it is an advantage. We work jobs mainly that call for a romantic,
sexual or erotic male gay couple and with us you know you are getting
the real deal. No fakeness. No comfortability. No drama. We love what
we do and we love to have a great fun time while doing it. People
always describe us easy and fun to work with.
CLINT: It’s an
advantage! Photographers want to work with us because they see the
passion and strength between us that they have to fake with other male
models. We are comfortable together, in front of the camera, and being
in the nude if it calls for it. On the other hand it’s a great
disadvantage because we do work so well together. Photographers love
the opportunity to working with two men and forget that we also can
shoot solo!
What is the thing you would never do in front of the camera?
TONY:
I would never do anything that would be hurtful or an insult to Clint.
If he is OK with something then I am OK with it as long as it is
tasteful and keeping the respect for our relationship. We have both
posed with women is sexual and romantic situations. We have posed with
one guy together and I’m sure there will be more of that type work. We
take each job one at a time and communicate all the way. We can discuss
anything. We have probably the most perfect communication.
CLINT:
The one thing I would NEVER do is betray Tony or even leave a suspicion
for Tony to think anything went down at a shoot. It’s one thing to
shoot nude for the camera with other models - guys and girls - in
suggestive ways. However, it is in taste and does not endanger our
relationship. The last thing I would want is for Tony to be
uncomfortable at a shoot. However, we have strong communication. We
know what are doing and how we go about it. If we did not talk about
our shoots before and after, we wouldn't be shooting. That's how
powerful our connection is when we share.
What is the thing you dream about doing in front of the camera?
TONY:
As for a dream… we are living it! Everyday and every job is a dream
come true and a new highlight. To be doing this together is amazing.
There are many more dreams to fulfill. I want a major ad, campaign or
promotion. I want to publish our own book of images both artist and
erotic. If you mean what do I fantasize about doing in front of the
camera? My main goal when shooting is to create something edgy, sexy
and pushing the envelope. I want to make a hot and artistically
beautiful image. I fantasize about pushing that envelope right to the
limit… what all that in tails? You’ll have to watch and see!
CLINT:
To Dream, is to live the life that I have with Tony and pursue the
opportunities that we can share together. Our life being captured
together is my Dream Shot and I am living that. Each and every moment!
Can you tell us about your best experience in modeling?
TONY:
That’s hard to say! I have had so many amazing times modeling both with
and without Clint but perhaps the one that sticks in my mind the most
was our first shoot together! It was a Christmas shoot we did for our
Christmas cards. We knew right away we were heading for doing some
great work together and we had a blast doing it!
CLINT: I grew closer to Tony.
Besides modeling, what other passions and interests do you have that keep you busy?
TONY:
Our son keeps us very busy! We also go to the gym one to two times a
day 5 days a week. The most recent addition to our schedule has been
our own photography. We just opened our own studio here in Lancaster
and have high hopes for that venture!
CLINT: If I am not modeling,
I’m at the gym. I have the best workout partner ever. Tony motivates me
just by watching him workout and his drive to accomplish his goals.
Working out is a time we get to spend together with no distractions
besides our conversation, catching up on the day. Of course we love
spending time with our son. Taking him to different parks and events.
Plus he loves going to the kids area at the gym so the big thing is the
count down of how many days until we go to the gym. The usual, it’s ONE
DAY. I love modeling being in front of the lens but I also love being
behind the lens. I grew up wanting to photography everything and I did.
Tony and I have built a studio and will be side shooting from modeling
and our careers. Never a dull moment.
Any last advice you can give for guys who would like to pursue a career like you guys have?
TONY:
WORK WORK WORK!! Drop the chip on your shoulder! Leave your hang-ups at
the door! Get naked and get comfortable in front of that lens! I always
tell new models… if I hear a bunch of, ”I don’t like this and I don’t
like that” I won’t work with you. I give a shoot my ALL! Whatever it
takes to get the shot is what I do! FREEZING water, 100% pavement,
public nudity, uncomfortable posing you name it I do it! The best shots
come from something challenging or outside the box and if I am willing
to do that then I expect the same. I think that attitude will take you
further. More people will want to work with you… which is also key!
Get experience!! Learn from everyone you can!
CLINT: Never have
the attitude you are the best, and relax. You will be put to the test,
you will be asked to drop your clothes, that’s modeling in todays
society no one is going to think less of you and its best to show
variety in your work. The most important thing though to get work is by
NETWORKING. I learned this from Tony and he is amazing at it. He is
professional when he does it. No comment or critique he leaves suggests
anything different than his professionalism. -B-
