It is interesting how certain people can be attractive to others, and others are not. What is it that makes one person more desirable than the other. Personal choice? Yes, that certainly has to do with it. But than how can we explain that certain people have an incredible magnetic attraction for many of us. Are we really herd animals that follow the same lead, or is it something that comes from this one person? Some kind of chemical reaction that affects our emotions.

The term sex appeal knows many scientific explanations. Early experiences, cultural and demographic influences, opposite attracts. You name it. They are all excuses for what we all know what sex appeal really is: lust. The lust for something you see in front of you, the urge to put your hands on that other person, rip the clothes off and engage in passionate, intimate sex. I know this explanation might seem a bit first degree, but let’s face it, isn’t that what it all comes down to? So to return to the 64,000 dollar question: what makes one person more appealing than the other. It is simply a matter of giving the right signals. A look in the eyes, the way he moves, the way he talks… it is all part of it. And yes, good looks are a helping factor as well. Knowing all this it is not surprising that forced seduction doesn’t always pushes the right buttons. A striptease, no matter how skilled the performer is, is still a performance. But having the right person sitting in front of you, casually peeling of his clothes… yeah… that can certainly create some ripples in the quiet pond of emotions.

So let’s give it a try, shall we? You sit down and we slowly start removing some layers, revealing what is underneath. Starting tomorrow with the delicious Jamie Dominic, who doesn’t shy away himself from some revelation. Now here is a person we wouldn’t mind seeing in front of us. Jorge Rivas is a new star in the sparkling firmament of photographers heaven. As no other he knows how to seduce us with his art, and that is not so strange. After all, he learned from the best. Later in this edition we will invite you for a personal talk with international porn actor D.O. and last but certainly not least we have a hot cover man, Chris Campanioni, who literally stripped down to next to nothing. IN A TIME WHEN GAY MEN WOULD DANCE ON URBAN AND R&B SOUNDS, MARCOS JOSE BRITO WAS ON A CONSTANT QUEST FOR PLACES WHERE HE COULD FIND HIMSELF IN REAL HIP HOP MUSIC. ONLY TO REALIZE THAT WHERE THE HIP HOP CULTURE DIDN’T SEEM VERY OPEN-MINDED TOWARDS A GAY AUDIENCE, THE GAY COMMUNITY EQUALLY HAD A STEREOTYPE ATTITUDE ABOUT WHAT IT MEANT TO BE GAY AND WHAT MUSIC YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO. SOMETHING THAT HE, IN A PERIOD OF ONLY 6 YEARS, HAS POSITIVELY CHANGED.

Marcos Jose Brito was born in Basildon, Essex UK, in the year 1978, as the son of a British mother and Spanish father. After he successfully ended his studies in contemporary dance, acting and performing arts, Marcos worked 4 years for the popular website gayhiphop.com as a journalist. It was in this time he recorded his first gay rap under the name QBoy, unaware this would be the first step towards a successful international carer as gay rapper and hip hop artist. Over the past few years, QBoy has been active not only with his own music career, but also with the production of other artists, working as a DJ and being a spokes person for various LGBT organizations.

Over the years QBoy has developed himself into a breakthrough artist in the hip-hop, or homo-hop – music scene and an example for many young gay men. He speaks openly about his sexuality and sex is not a taboo in his music and video’s as he proofs again with his latest release Coming Out 2 Play. Even though he does not wishes to go into history as a gay rapper, for the moment he doesn’t shy away from it either. And why should he. He is good looking, witty, humorous and sexy, and has enough skill and talent to stay on top for a long time to come.

QBoy’s most recent musical adventure is Moxie, the long anticipated new album of this half British half Spanish artist, that opens a whole new chapter in the young rappers career. If you think you new QBoy, think again. Moxie combines commercial electro-pop, fidget house, disco and a variety of other popular music styles into catchy tracks like Set It Up/Pull It Off, Ghetto, Bounce Rave and the previously mentioned single Coming Out 2 Play. Currently QBoy is already finalizing the production of the video of his second single taken from Moxie, The Scream Track, and one can only hope it will take off where Coming Out 2 Play left us an open end. The album itself is an excellent example of music production and probably his most commercial work up to date. QBoy kicked of a promotional tour in May, which will take him to several European cities as well as the main cities in the USA. In July he is expected to perform at Pride London for a audience of 8,000 and August this year will see the launch of his long awaited photo book QBoy: Hottest In Homo-Hop, a large collection of photos by QBoy’s long time artistic collaborator and friend Greg Fredrick. And with the DVD release of the documentary Pick Up The Mic, we can safely say, this summer is most definitely a QBoy summer. –B-

Work Hard, Play Hard...with Jon Shield

YES GENTLEMEN, IT THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN. THE TIME WE ALL DREAD – NOT INCLUDING THE USUAL EXCEPTIONS – TO GO BACK TO THE GYM AND TORTURE OUR SELVES TO LOOSE THOSE EXTRA POUNDS WE SO EASILY GAINED DURING THE WINTER. 25 Year old Jon Shield hails from the NW of England and is currently starting out as a fitness and fashion model where he is already causing quite a stir. A dynamo of energy, Jon not only runs his own fitness company but he is much in demand for shoots so you will often find him organizing his life in between rushing for shoots. Jon stands 6’ tall and adding his muscle mass to this, he is an impressive sight in the gym, where he spends a lot of his spare time. Not only to keep himself in shape, but also to develop workout routines for his clients.

About his passion for fitness Jon says: "I'm a passionate person who lives life to the full and ensure that I work and play hard. Health and fitness is a huge passion of mine and this is shown with my studying from an early age up until present, as well as running my own Personal Training company, Physique Total Health & Fitness Solutions." From the gym studio to the photo studio seems a logic step when you are as developed as Jon Shield. And thus Jon has been actively pursuing a modeling career next to his fitness activities for some time now.

If you want to get back in shape, and live in the neighborhood, we can strongly recommend Jon. He has competed in the highest level of a variety of sports and has an excellent knowledge of sports, which has resulted in him being accepted as one of the 12 people to follow an exclusive Master degree study in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Bolton. Once completed Jon will be able to coach athletes on international level, and with a passion and motivation as he has, we are convinced Jon will go far. Dan Skinner's A-List... and some more

IN A WORLD WHERE INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT CAN BE FOUND IN A LARGE VARIETY OF MEDIA, DO PEOPLE STILL READ BOOKS? THE ANSWER TO THAT – FORTUNATELY – IS YES. BOOKS ARE IN FACT PRICELESS. WHETHER IT IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE AND BROADEN YOUR HORIZON, OR TO ENGAGE IN FANTASTIC ADVENTURES ON DIFFERENT WORLDS OR IN DIFFERENT GALAXIES, BOOKS ARE ABLE TO CAPTURE YOUR MIND AS NOTHING ELSE CAN. BECAUSE WHEN YOU READ, IT IS JUST SOMETHING BETWEEN YOU AND THE AUTHOR. AND SOMETIMES THE COVER ARTIST.

Every one who likes to read, and specially the fans of fantasy and sci-fi novels, can tell you the importance of a good-looking cover. It is the first thing you see and lots of time, when searching for a new adventure, it is the cover that makes you explore the content. Dan Skinner knows this as no one else. Being a photo-digital cover artist, he works for over four hundred international publishers. If you are an enthusiast reader, it is almost impossible not to have had one of Dan’s artworks in your hands. Dan works in every genre, from science fiction to romance. His way of working he calls the ‘kitchen sink method’ which basically means he does everything himself. He handpicks his models, he creates his props and finally he digitally render everything into a real life image of some epic scene. With so many cover arts in his portfolio there is little he didn’t do. And still there was one theme that Dan really wanted to explore but never got the chance for.

Dan Skinner started his photography career in the universe of fitness and only fell into the full time vocation of cover artist by accident. It wasn’t before some of his models asked him to promote them with book companies that he began tinkering with their portraits digitally and soon he found himself being hired to do covers for a variety of books and publishers. In 2005 he started his own business, Cerberus Inc, together with his partner model/actor Nick Fichter. Nick is responsible for scouting and recruiting the models, and Dan works with them, shooting their photos and blending those images with unique manipulation skills and vibrant colors in the cover arts that have made Ceberus Inc. one of the most sought after companies in its genre. And now, Dan has also added a whole new layer of art to his portfolio. With all the models he got before his camera, he realized he never had the chance to fully explore the male/male romance and fantasy genre. And so he elected to do it for himself.

Besides his fantastic collection of cover arts, Dan has now also an impressive portfolio  of male photo manipulations, showing gorgeous men in glorious romantic and fantastic venues. With the experience and knowledge he had gained over the years, he knew he could raise this art form to another level, and using art and hand-painting to render his photographs, he had created a unique series of artworks. Being the cover artist he is, it is now almost inevitable before Dan Skinner will feature one of these fantastic portraits on his very own book, which wont be a novel, but doubtless a collection of bright colors, seductive men and sensual colors. All of Dan’s photos are named, and today we bring you a selection of his A-list and some more. –B-

YOU NEED TO HAVE A STRONG PERSONALITY AND WILL OF YOUR OWN IF YOU WANT TO SUCCEED IN MAKING A HAPPY LIFE FOR YOURSELF. TO BREAK FREE FROM CONSERVATIVE LIFE AND SOCIAL EXPECTATIONS, SPREAD YOUR WINGS AND FLY OUT. IT ALL HAPPENED TO HANNES. BUT WHEN HE FLEW, HE FLEW FAR.

Hannes Ortner was born and raised in a conservative catholic surrounding of a small village somewhere in the mountains of Austria. His weekly activities used to include early breakfasts, going to church, horseback riding, swimming in summer and snowboarding in winter. All together not too bad, but when you are 16 and have come to accept you are gay, you probably want more than that. Realizing that, even though reasonably open-minded- his fellow-villagers would not be ready to see him waling hand in hand with a lover – let alone kissing him - Hannes came to the conclusion it might be better to change his protected mountain life for the more exciting seductions of living in a big city and even an other country. And thus he made the logical choice to move… to China…

Eager to enrich himself with new cultural experiences, and a scholarship in his pocket, Hannes took of to China. You can imagine it must have been quite a culture shock to start a life there, but Hannes loved every second of it. He spent one year in China before moving to Japan for another few months and eventually Taiwan. But soon Hannes came to the conclusion that even though experiencing new cultures was an enriching experience, he could not express his sexuality as he wanted, and that need brought him back to Europe. London to be precise.

In London Hannes experienced gay life as now where else. He shared living accommodations with four friends – two Argentine and two Spanish – and the five of them explored every gay outlet the British capital had to offer. And when he eventually met the man of his life who introduced him to the party scene, Hannes had found gay paradise and couldn’t get enough. London became a too small playing ground end the two of them soon found party satisfaction all over the world. Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Brazil. You name it. Hannes was unstoppable.

I know what you are thinking. Is this story going to end good? I mean, from conservative mountain lad to international party boy… But Hannes is a smart guy and – even though he still likes to enjoy a good dance event every now and then – he safely smoothed his feathers and settled down in London with his boyfriend, where he works hard at his latest venture, his own on line business - linguistics-consulting.com – in which he successfully offers his great business analyst and language skills. –B-
