SO IF YOU GET THE CHANCE TO DO ALL THAT, WOULD YOU GIVE IT ALL UP FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. SOMETHING OF WHICH MOST PEOPLE PROBABLY WOULD SAY IT DOESN’T HAVE A CHANCE OF SUCCEEDING? WOULD YOU BE BOLD AND DARING ENOUGH TO TAKE THAT RISK?
Dionisio Heiderscheid, know to his friend as D.O., had everything going for him when he decided to try something very different. Being a national celebrity and successful fashion model, he took the risk to try his luck in gay porn. He packed his stuff, took a plane to the United States and started his new career. And to make it even more difficult, he did it all with a relatively unknown company at the time. Now, 3 years later, D.O. is hard on his way to become one of the bigger names in the adult industry. We met D.O. recently in New York and took the opportunity to make an appointment with him for a one-to-one conversation.
D.O., can you please tell us a bit about your personal background, like where you are from, etc…
D.O.: Hello Beautiful! So, I was born in Argentina, in a beautiful city named La Plata, one hour away from Buenos Aires. La Plata is the first pre-planned city in South America. After practicing gymnastics at competition level during all my childhood, and after studying advertising when I was older, I decide to move to Buenos Aires at the age of 20. Here I tried my luck in fashion and modeling.
And with success, right? You started your career in the spotlight with being a runway and print model and you also appeared on TV. Seems like a dream career for many. Still you gave it all up and choose a different path…
D.O.: Becoming a fashion runaway model allowed me to travel to Europe. I worked in Milan, Paris and Germany. This work eventually evolved in becoming a TV host, which I did for 3 years. But after all that, I felt I needed a radical change, which I hoped to find in the adult entertainment. So my challenge was to find the right people in the adult business and plan a professional carrier, in which I could develop and express my self in a completely different way. It didn’t take long before many doors opened. It was of course kind of risky, but then again, if you don´t take the chance, you don’t go anywhere. What I have learned is that life is worth taking risks in. What else are we here for than to learn about ourselves and the things we are capable of doing. I knew the USA has a large porn industry consumer market, so that would be the place to build a professional carrier. My challenge was to put all what I had done that far on stand-by, taking the risks, taking my own decisions, against all odds and against what all people expected from me. My only question to answer was: why not? And since I couldn’t find a strong and convincing answer to that, I just did it and here I am! ☺
How did your family and friends react?
D.O.: Before I stepped in my plane to NYC, I talked with my family and friends, explaining them that I needed to have at least one experience in the industry? By being frontal, professional and honest I managed to keep their trust in me. And so they blessed me and supported me, like they had done all through my life. I think this conversation was the most important thing I did before I toke the final decision. It made me stronger and gave me confidence. Now, after almost 3 years, and after having grown in so many different ways, they are proud of me. This is not about sex. This is about respecting my feelings and being honest with myself and everyone around me. When you take a step in one way, trust and hope will make it the right way.
Looking the way you do – and we all know that in the adult entertainment industry looks are reasonably important – we are sure you could have worked for any big studio out there. Still you decided to join the relatively new Black Scorpio Video and went even as far as signing an exclusive contract with them. Why?
D.O.: Black Scorpion Video was a small starting company when they contacted me, and I guess it was that what convinced me. In a big old international studio, I would may be just another guy, but for BSV I was the right guy. They believed in me, they believed I could help
them to be in the top of the industry fast! And I think we did a great
job together. This year, even though we won only one, we had 18 nominations
for the GAY VN awards. We are now a big enough independent and still
brand new company. I´m proud of BSV and what we achieved. We also built Black Rat Video, a small division where I have started to learn how to direct movies, how to have a team responding to me and how to build great hot sex scene. We built Black Scorpion Video together into a company that has quality, a new vision and a new energy. we really Want to give the adult industry beautiful movies, beautiful locations and beautiful guys in front of the camera. Apparently it is appreciated, so it looks we are on the right way.
It is pretty amazing that even without the marketing machine of the big studios behind you, you seem to be on your way to become one of the big names in the industry. Can you explain this? What do you have that others don’t?
D.O.: The particular think about me, is that nobody expected that after working in the fashion industry and for TV, I could become a porn star. So I guess I kind of made a dream come true for a lot of the people. Plus, I just love to make love, so I just want to give my best to all of you ☺. I think I found my place to express my self in many, many different ways. In fact it is kind of “up side down.” Some main stream actors start by doing porn, and then they become Hollywood actors, like Sylvester Stallone. But I feel the world is changing, and anything is possible, so, once again, here I am!
Let’s get a bit more personal D.O.
You have a great body. What do you consider your best asset?
D.O.: I guess my best body asset is my proportion. My muscles are not bigger than other guys, but my body proportions, and maybe my skin, I think that is the difference.
And what is it you like least about yourself?
D.O.: Mmmm… I don´t like my hair, so even when I like an occasional hair cut, I can not hold it for long, so I change it, with a different product or cut. Hair, it is an issue for many, many people, believe me.
What is it you like most when doing a sex scene?
D.O.: The best is to rim… I love rim… A lot.
And when having sex in private?
D.0.: The same!!!! Definitely… Plus some fingers… ☺
What is your favorite outfit when you are at home?
D.O.: When I´m home I love to be just in my pajama pants. No shoes, no tank top. But, sometimes I like to just wear a jockstrap. Almost naked but very sexy. I like wearing sexy underwear when I’m alone, like thongs or leather stuff. It makes me kind of horny all day.
Do you have pets?
D.O.: I have 3 cats, 2 Turkish angoras and a small Siamese. I love cats and dogs, bu dogs are more like kids. You have to take them outside to poo and pee and they always want to be with somebody. I love the independence in cats. They are like me.
D.O. tell us about the positive and negative aspects of working as a porn actor…
D.O.: Positive in porn: everyone has fantasies about and with you and about how your life must be if working in such an exciting profession, even when not everything is that great, like any other job. After all this life is an illusion. I´m not more happy than any one else, but when you are involved with entertainment, fashion, TV, traveling etc, people easily fantasy about you.
Negative things about porn? Yes, every morning I must convince myself again that I am in the right place. I was born in the same society as everybody else. So even when I decided to take the risks, I still have to affirm I´m doing a right thing every day. But at the end of that same day I´m happy to be alive and to feel free to do what I want.
Over the past year or so you have been working with a large amount of international photographers on a photo book. It will be released soon under the title The Different Sides of D.O. What can we expect?
D.O.: This project is about to be finish. This month, I will be shooting the last sessions in Manhattan. We worked with 20 photographers and the book will be a great art piece. Fashion, sexuality, high lighting quality and locations. You all need to buy it, not just because of my ass or my dick, but because all the profits will be donated for HIV research around the world. Why this book D.O. What do you want to say with it?
D.O.: What I want to say with this book is that sexuality and freedom are two great emotions that match perfectly together. It is a scream for life and it gives all people a great feeling of joy and pleasure. Plus: every body is consuming porn in the world. Fashion, movies, you name it. If everybody in this media could do something to help the people next door, I´m sure we would have a better world… So I´m trying to do my best with the book, which will help a lot of people, and not just to keep going with the fight against Aids. It will also give all of you a great book that you can enjoy, and I´m proud of that ☺.
Back to the movies D.O. As mentioned before you also started to work as a director. So, and this is always one of our favorite question, if we would give you a budget and free creativity, what fantasy would you like to realize?
D.O.: That is an easy one, and probably not what you would expect ☺. In Black Rat we are producing really hot sex scenes, just in a hotel room. I would like to put a third camera behind me, so you can see and hear what I want from the performers and realize how we build the porn industry. It is a great way to start showing that our work it is in fact that WORK. And let’s face it, it is hot as well.

D.O.: I just want to say that life is a great gift we all have. Don´t waste your time doing what you must to, doing what is just right or what the others expect from you. His answer to your last question are words we should all strive to live by. They should be carved in granite somewhere.
