She has her statue in Madame Tussaud and now she is granted the ultimate recognition: Barbra Streisand appears as a Barbie doll.

Barbie Barbra is the latest addition to the Pink Label Barbie Collection and thus shares the honor, besides many imaginative figures, with the likes of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, Lucille Ball, Judy garland and Wonder Woman. The Barbra Streisand doll stands approximately 11 1/2-inches tall in a stunning likeness, wears an elegant white top and black dress not unlike the one she was wearing while appearing on the Judy garland show in the 1960’s and comes with a classic microphone stand. Ever the perfectionist she is, Barbra had a hand in the design of the doll. She revealed Oprah Winfrey's show that it still isn’t quite how she wanted it to be: “I worked on this doll, very hard. The slit was in the back, had it go on the side. The fabric–the bow had a limp, it had to go straight. The hair is actually a little too silver, the bow is a little short, but it’s okay Mattel.”

The limited edition Barbie Streisand retails at $55 and is a real collectors items for people who need, well, Barbies. And the fun part is, if you are a Barbie celebrity collector, you can change their outfits. Imagine Barbra like Cher… -B-
