Mark Twain once said that naked people have little or no influence on society. This is a fact that could be questioned, but the fact is that wearing the right clothes at the right moment does help your self-confidence. And not just that, it also helps building your image or gives you a certain role to play. And when we talk about role play, the association to sex and sexual fantasies isn’t too far off.
Thomas Synnamon – who doesn’t know him by now – has been working on what can be seen a most tasteful and exciting series of men dressed in provocative attire. Always exploring the boundaries of eroticism, Thomas has investigated with this work the limits between masculinity and femininity. In other words, when you dress a men in fabrics and colours that are normally associates to women, does it make them more feminine ? The answer is no, not necessarily.
With his Leather & Lace series Thomas Synnamon has given new meaning to the saying "you are what you wear ". Now we don’t advise you to dress up like this when going to work – depending on the work you do of course – but Thomas’ view on erotic outfit is most definitely refreshing. Thomas Synnamon is a master when it comes to selecting men. His models stand by their toned masculine bodies, often supplemented with a dreamlike, soft look in the eyes. It is that same subtle contrast that makes his Leather & Lace series so interesting and – yes – exciting. With this unique gallery of portraits, Thomas Synnamon truly proves that clothes make the man. –B-

Clothes do indeed make the man. But it is often the lack of clothes, and therefore the man himself, who reveals his true identity to us. Clothes can sometimes be worn as a disguise, hiding a man's real self. But if he has enough courage, a man can wear clothing not generally accepted by society, or clothing that reveals areas of the male form not usually seen in public. Fortunately, Thomas Synnamon has found such men and has the skills necessary to beautifully capture them for us.
