DON’T THINK FOR A MOMENT YOU CHOOSE THEM. THEY CHOOSE YOU. THEY ARE IN CONTROL. THEY DECIDE WHAT AND WHERE. AND IF THEY ATTACK, YOU DON’T STAND A CHANCE.  

Have you ever experienced the sensual arts of a lap dancer? Have you ever given in to that deep rooted temptation to own a person and be able to do with him what ever you like to do? Even though you know, deep inside yourself, it is not you who masters the scene but it is him who calls the shots. You buy him and you own him, but only for as long as he allows to be owned. And even if you do, he will never give away control. He is a professional. An animal of prey. A hunter who knows exactly how to get you where he wants. He moves, flexing his muscles. He allows to be touched. Slightly. He plants his strong tights over your lap and just when you think you got him, he moves away, proving he is not yours to have. Unless of course he is willing to let you have a go at him. It all depends on the price you are willing to pay. He is a private dancer.

Few photographers and probably even fewer renowned models can carry a the sugar daddy/ go go dancer concept such as described above. But if it is New York photographer Thomas Synnamon who comes up with the idea, you can be sure the execution will be a series of portraits that carry the perfect balance of raw sexuality and sophisticated style. Over the years, Thomas has showed proof of his extra ordinary talent in a large variety of shoots and concepts. And whether it is pure fashion, artistic nudes, sleepless men or more sexual loaded photographs, Thomas Synnamon does it with a creativity and skill, that has created a strong signature style, characterizing him as being one of the best male photographers of this time.

Fair enough. To shoot great photos, you need a good photographer. To shoot a stunning portrait, you also need to have a model who can place himself in the role you want him to play. Levi Poulter is such a model. No newbie here on BeautifulMag, we have seen Levi in several series, by probably just as many photographers. This good-looking guy from Miami is a well sought after model by international photo artists. A proven fact when Levi became figure head of website Men At Work in 2009. He plays his masculinity and sexuality in a shameless yet stylish way, is totally at ease in front of the camera and seems to give himself very little restrictions. In other words, a dream come true for every male physiques photographer.

Recently Levi Poulter as visiting New York City and agreed on another shoot with Thomas Synnamon. The concept this time: an sensual lap dance. For that scenario you do of course need a second man, which was easily found in the sexy Eddy Barrena. What makes this series even more exciting is that this private dance seems to take place inside a dressing room instead of backstage of a strip club. It gives the whole story almost a second entry. Thomas Synnamon has outdone himself once more with his Private Dancer series, by creating photographs that, also due to the smart usage of a mirror, never lose interest. –B-

BeautifulMag #67 Week 34-35 | Men are like Pigeons

It has been said before, but now we are absolutely sure. Men are like animals. We don’t mean that in a negative way of course, but we are talking about their behaviour. And probably the best place to see it is on a beach. There is something with sun, sea and sand that makes the testosterone level rise. The fact that on a beach you are surrounded by many half naked bodies might have something to do with that as well. One might say that spending time on a beach is a waste of time. It is not cultural. But nothing could be further from the truth.

The beautiful thing from being on a beach is that you can really study different forms of cruising. Or can we say mating rituals. There are different methods. Some like to sit for hours, almost motionless, and stare at their possible target. Usually a total waste of time, because there is always someone who comes along and moves I on your target before you can even wink your eyes. Others engage in a choreographic ritual that seems so complex you seriously wonder if they ever get laid. But the most common and – so we must conclude – probably most effective way is stalking. Or should we say courting. A technique most commonly seen with pigeons. Picture this. Female pigeon struts around, minding her own business or so it seems. Along comes the male. He starts following her, first at discrete distance but soon closing in until he is only a few paces away from her feathery ass. She makes a turn, he makes a turn. She speeds up, he speeds up. She flies of and lands again only half a meter further, he follows her movements like a synchronized dance, all the while making cocky movements, such as pumping up his chest and wagging his tail feathers. Finally she gives up and lets him bang her. Which is a pretty bold thing to do amidst your peers. Cruising on the beach happens in exactly the same way. Well except for the banging part than. We usually stick to the stalking part, hoping the banging comes later. Lots of times this results in a cool down period with no result what so ever. Meaning you spent all your time chasing for nothing. Conclusion, men are like pigeons. Except pigeons are smarter. –B-

IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW OLD YOU ARE, FIRST TIMES ARE ALWAYS SCARY. YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO, HOW TO BEHAVE AND WHAT TO EXPECT. AGE IS IRRELEVANT. JESSE L. BROWN EXPERIENCED HIS FIRST TIME AT AGE 27 AND HE DID IT WITH JUSTIN MONROE. NOT KNOWING WHAT HE GOT HIMSELF INTO, JESSE WAS NERVOUS AND SCARED. BUT HE WENT FOR IT, ALL THE WAY, AND IT WAS ALL HE COULD EVER HAVE DREAMED OF.

Jesse Brown grew up on a farm in Montana riding horses, feeding cows and throwing hay bails. With nothing much more to do than that, Jesse spent all his free time practicing sports. He played football, golf and wrestled, and all that in addition to his work activities eventually resulted in his Jesse growing up to be a guy in great physical shape. He studied, moved to Idaho, got a job and lived a quiet and happy life. But all this time there was just one thing missing. And even though Jesse knew what he wanted, he never really had the chance to do it. Until he met Justin…

Welcome to BeautifulMag, Jesse. You know, many guys dream about posing for Justin Monroe. How did you manage to do it?
Jesse: About two years ago my friend Seth Atchley (did some editing work and worked with models and photographers through Wilhelmina Modeling Agency (probably spelled wrong) in NY. He saw some of Justin’s work and thought I should send him some photos to see what he thought. Timing ended up being horrible at that time since he was just finishing Down The Rabbit Hole, I believe (amazing imagery btw). Luckily two years later I still had Justin’s number in my phone and miss-dialed him! I was trying for someone else, and I was surprised to hear a mans voice on the phone. I said sorry and hung up. After that I realized it was Justin's number I had dialed and texted him back saying sorry and reminded him who I was. Then he told me to send him some recent pics and 1 month later I was having the time of my life modeling for Justin - my first time doing anything close to professional.

Wow, that is pretty cool. So tell us about that experience please…

Jesse: To be honest I really didn't know what to expect at first. I was just happy to see how nice he was. He told me not too worry because I was in good hands. I was actually more nervous a week before all the way to up until I met Justin, than the actual day of the shoot. Throughout my time with Justin I was like a little kid asking a lot of questions trying to soak up everything I could in the experience. When we started shooting he would direct me a little to how and what I should be doing (since I was a first timer). His assistant Yasma was very helpful in that area too. We actually, not too long into the shoot, had a really good shot. Justin stopped and showed me and said "give me more of that...that's what I want". From there on I got more and more comfortable and started figuring out what I needed to be doing. By the time I was in the hot tub I loosened up enough to where Justin was wondering if I was 70% porn-star and 30% strait-laced instead of earlier when it was the other way around. I really enjoyed how the whole shoot progressed. I started out by putting on rubber boots, a Speedo, and getting sprayed by Pam. I ended with being naked and standing on a ladder! It was a great moment when Justin said I did really great and we made some HOT photos!  We went through them later that night and I was just completely blown away. He has such an eye for angles, positions, lighting, etc. I remember him telling me "the more it hurts, the better the pictures will look. As long as you don't let it show in your face.” So that is what I went for. I couldn't believe how sore I ended up being the next two days!

What are your dreams and aspirations as a model?
Jesse: I would love to go from having it as a weekend hobby to having it pay all the bills! Ever since I was a kid I always dreamed of walking the red carpet as a person in front of the camera instead of behind the ropes looking on. Or worse, a TV screen looking on. The timing never worked out until now. I was just lucky enough to start with one of the top photographers - Justin Monroe - and our chemistry (and his talent) lent to the great work that was made. As cliché as it is...I want to be a star (make myself the next Mark Wahlberg). The modeling and acting version...not the singing one! Ha ha...
How did you feel being nude in front of the camera? 
Jesse: The only thing I worry about with being naked in front of the camera is how cold it is in the room, and I hope my mother doesn't see these particular photos (full on frontal). I definitely don't mind showing my ass off though. When I was younger I was always the mooner in the group. I always told everyone I was going to join or start a nudist colony with very strict membership acceptance rules (not just everyone looks good naked!).
Well you definitely seem to be in excellent shape. How do you do it?
Jesse: When I can, I go to the gym 6 days a week. Dedication is the key to looking good. I can eat about whatever I want - within reason - as long as I want. My ass is owed to doing lots of free squats. I lift each body part twice each week at high reps and heavy weight so it is way easier to maintain. I am in the gym for only 35 min to an hour at the most each day. It also helps to have a good workout partner if you don't have dedication (because they might be enough of what you need to keep you in the gym). When I was young I made the decision of never being fat and always be in good shape. It was my summer between 2nd and 3rd grade and all I did was hang out at my dad's vet clinic and eat doughnuts and drink coffee, then go back to the house and watch TV. By the time school started I was a little chunk. I didn't realize how bad it was until the first recess bell rang and I got outside and went to run. I had forgotten how. Who the hell forgets how to run. It was at that moment I made the decision to never be out of shape!
Let’s go back to the shoot. If this first photo shoot with Justin Monroe was this provocative, what do you think the next one will be like?
Jesse: Well, if I am ever blessed enough to have that opportunity again all I can say is that it is definitely on, and everyone better buy the book..ha ha ha... With the amazingly creative mind of Justin you never know what is going to come up or crawl out of it. I will probably end up being covered in pigs blood and hanging upside down in some cellar or basement with either some smokin’ hot man, woman, tranny, or little person whipping me. On the other hand I might be the one doing the whipping! Who knows...could be whips, chains, a fat lab rat, with a grandma riding by on a bicycle giving me the finger and then a duck. Whatever it is it will be a sensual/sexual explosion and very raw and seductive. With all the vampire stuff these days I wouldn't mind being a vampire! Have always thought they were cool and sexy. The first stuff was foreplay, the next will make you come crawling back begging for more! 
Have you ever considered being a porn artist?
Jesse: I actually have considered it. That is probably the one thing though that would send my mother and grandparents to their grave. I am actually kind of fond of all of them, so I will probably not go that route, but if I was in a different time and place in my life...who knows. ☺ -B-

Last week we came back from a short break in Barcelona. Two weeks in the Spanish sun was all it took to make us forget the daily struggles at work. But that is all behind us now, as is our first week of work. Which was also all it took to forget that nice relaxing vacation feeling. And that made me wonder about first impressions.

Do you know that feeling of dread, the day before you go back to work? That feeling of really not wanting to even though there is nothing to be afraid of. That feeling probably comes from your very first day at the office. The day you start something is the day of first impression and it is important that you make it a good one. Because that is the day that keeps coming back. And it is up to you if it comes back as a nice memory or as bad Chinese food. In fact, it goes for everything that has a memorable first time. The first time you drive a car. The first time you get drunk. Your first kiss and yes, most certainly the first time. Sex is probably the most intense memory you can create for yourself, and if that first experience is not what you expected it to be, it might haunt you for a long time. Basically every time when you try someone new. I bet you want that memory to be one of happiness and joyfulness. So basically your happiness all comes down to that one moment when you do something for the first time. So don’t take it for granted. Make a little effort. It is most definitely worth it. –B-

RYAN’S NAME BECAME FRONT PAGE NEWS WHEN HE GOT IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH REICHEN LEHMKUHL. REICHEN REACHED CELEBRITY STATUS THROUGH HIS EARLIER RELATIONSHIP WITH LANCE BASS. LANCE OF COURSE WE ALL KNOW AS ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE’S BOYS BAND ‘N SYNC AND HIS REVEALING INTERVIEW IN PEOPLE MAGAZINE HOWEVER, IT WOULDN’T BE VERY NICE TO SAY RYAN BARRY IS ONLY KNOWN AS THE GUY WHO USED TO DATE THE GUY WHO USED THE DATE A CELEBRITY. On his own website he says that everything happens for a reason and that the universe unfolds exactly as it should. So who is Ryan Barry. Born in California, he lived all over the state. Pretty much wherever his father found work. After having been introduced to dance by his sister at the age of 6, Ryan found inspiration to start doing gymnastics by watching the 1984 Olympics. Not a bad choice since it earned him several regional and national titles. But after some injuries that prevented him from developing his athletic future further, Ryan decided on another career path and went back to University, studying religion, philosophy and psychology. Which eventually brought him to the U.K. where he enrolled at Cambridge University.

But there is also a very different side from Ryan Barry. He made his first contact with the modeling world at age 5, resulting in his first sportswear runway at 8. Also his last, since his modeling career came to a premature end after he embarrassingly tumbled from stage. Ryan grew up and worked himself through High School with braces and glasses. It wasn’t before he started going to the gym frequently that photographers started to show a renewed interest in him. When Ryan went to New York City for a shopping trip he found himself browsing through the Armani Exchange store when one of the clerks approached him and asked him if he would be interested in participating in an upcoming underwear contest. He asked his friend, photographer Adam Bouska, to make some test shots, submitted them to the contest and forgot all about it until one day, several weeks later, he received news he made it to the final three.

Ryan went back to New York, met the other finalists, had a blast with parties and photo shoots and won the contest, becoming the newest A|X model. One thing lead to an other, and it wasn’t before long that Ryan saw his first cover being published, and blown up to be a gigantic billboard in the city center of Sydney, Australia. This of course lead to many other assignments and cooperations with various international renowned photographers, such as London based Dylan Rosser.  Now this would be enough to make anyone walk besides their shoes. Not Ryan. Realistic as he is, he still sees his modeling career as a great opportunity and experience, but he hasn’t forgotten that it wasn’t all moonlight and roses for him in the beginning. Knowing from first hand experience how nutrition and working out can definitely change your life, Ryan decided to build on his passion for health and fitness and developed himself as a Certified Personal Trainer, complete with website and all. Needless to say, Ryan Barry is the kind of guy who likes to make people feel good about themselves.
Having that said, Ryan Barry still performs on stage as well. He loves performing, he moves dancing and he uses his celebrity status also to supports AIDS Services Foundation Orange County, a great volunteer-run organization that provides help to patients and families. So if you still don't know where you know Ryan from, it might very well that you saw him performing as the foundations Santa Claus. Handsome and smart, Ryan Barry believes that the journey is greater than the destination. He says that we can go searching for something all our lives but that the experiences and relationships we make along the way ultimately reveal the treasure that was always within. Looking at Ryan’s life path so far, it seems obvious he lives by his own believes. And for that alone Ryan Barry deserves to be a star all by himself. –B-

ACCORDING TO THE HISTORICAL LEGEND, MARIE ANTOINETTE'S CRY OF, "LET THEM EAT CAKE!" WAS THE STRAW THAT BROKE THE CAMEL’S BACK DURING THE FRENCH REVOLUTION. IN THIS WE TEND TO FORGET THAT THE PHRASE IS IN FACT MUCH OLDER AND PREDATES THE REIGN OF THE LAST QUEEN OF FRANCE. STILL, THERE IS SUCH A DECADENCE IN THE LEGEND THAT IT STILL INSPIRES ARTISTS TO WORK WITH THE CONCEPT. NO MATTER HOW TRAGICALLY IT ENDED FOR MARIE ANTOINETTE.

We have come to know Dean Stockings as a photographer with a broad sense of creativity and fantasy. Who isn’t familiar with his numerous handyman series and his recent book publication Sofa So Naked. For his latest Dean once again found inspiration close to home. The kitchen in this case. We never knew Dean was such a pastry chef/cake decorator, but what we did know is that the UK based photographer has impeccable taste when it comes to – well – appetite appeal.

The concept was simple: handsome guy starts off looking very sophisticated in his dinner suit, sipping champaign, comes across some very beautiful cakes, eats one, then two, then gets completely carried away and is seduced by the delicious cakes and ends up naked and covered in cake and cream! Like we said, very pre-French Revolution decadent and a concept that truly speaks to our heart. Because we do not only like to nibble on a little cake or two, we also have no problem if the tasting involves the delicious Dominic Nel. Dom is 26 and lives in London. He is active as male model for some time now and casted by Dean Stockings as the perfect men to immortalize his pastry concept. And may we say he carries it well… literally. Because the cakes looks even more tasty being all smeared out over Dominic’s well proportioned body.

UK gay lifestyle magazine reFRESH was invited to this particular tea party and like your BeautifulMag, decided it was too good to resist. They choose one of the many photos for their upcoming cover and will run a most interesting editorial with photographs that, even though part of the same series, are very different from the ones you see here today. They might actually be just those ones you are missing here, so don’t forget to check it out. BeautifulMag #64 Week 28-29 | A Piece of Cake

This weekend the World Cup 2010 finishes and that means, for many, back to normal life. Personally I’m really not such a fan of soccer matches, but I must admit, there is something erotic about the game. Seeing 22 young men, athletic and well built, running and fighting for a ball. Unaware of their masculine charm. Now I would never turn my TV on a regular football match, but the World Cup, well, that is something else, isn’t it. The combination of the crème de la crème of what the international soccer world has to offer, all in their individual teams. It is like watching an erotic movie and all of a sudden you find yourself in favor for a team for very different reasons than their playing abilities.

Soccer – or football as we say on this side of the Atlantic – has always been one of the most popular sports. But over the years it has become much more than that. It is a million dollar industry, with the players being life stock merchandise. And the really good ones are treated like superstars. Interesting detail is also that many of these guys seem to end up with a supermodel-quality wife, not seldom a celebrity herself. And so we have created a whole new level of royalty: ordinary guys who made it in life through their sport skills and can now live the lives of kings. They deserve it, and so do all those billion soccer fans all over the world. For them these star players perform on almost weekly base. And for the ones who are not such a fan they invented the European and World Cup Championships, so we too can have our little piece of the cake.

Talking about cake, we will have a lot more about that a bit later on in the coming two weeks. Dean Stockings is showing off some of his culinary specialties we are happy to share that tasting not only with you, but also with the upcoming summer issue of reFRESH Magazine. –B-
