Aden Jaric Does AJAXX63 with Gabriel Goldberg

MARK TWAIN ONCE SAID THAT THE FINEST CLOTHING MADE IS A PERSON’S SKIN, BUT, OF COURSE, SOCIETY DEMANDS SOMETHING MORE THAN THIS. AND THUS THERE ARE COMPANIES THAT PROVIDE US WITH THE MEANS TO COVER US UP. WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT.

We are living in a beautiful world, filled with beautiful people who do beautiful things. Andy Fraser and Bill Sherman for example, who had the magnificent idea back in 1997 to start a fashion company targeted at a urban gay audience with enough humor and courage to wear tee’s with slogan’s such as Rough Jock Rugby, M.E.A.Track and Plow Boy. This company, AJAXX63, was an instant success, not only due to the tight fitting shirts but also thanks to the owners sharp marketing strategies. One of them concerns the choice of the right models and that brings us to the second beautiful person in this article.

Lovers, husband and porn stars. Is that possible? According to Aden and Jordan Jaric, yes. Since five years these two incredibly sexy men share their lives and passion together, both on and off screen. This by itself is not so unique, but what makes these two Falcon Exclusives really exclusive is that they are monogamous. Aden and Jordan work under the unique contract that allows them to have sex on screen with each other and only with each other. Now isn’t that the boost for your sex life? Recently Aden also agreed on showing us how good he looks when dressed. Well barely that is. He posed in AJAXX63 in order to market their winter/spring 2010 collection. When we heard about this, we first thought it would be a shame. Don’t get me wrong, we love AJAXX63 t-shirts, but it just seems a waste to cover up a hunk such as Aden. But when we received the result, we realized they found a perfect compromise. And that brings us to the third beautiful person today.

Sometimes choices that at first glance seem irrational, can turn out to be not so bad after all. Gabriel Goldberg used to work as editor and writer for Instinct when he gave all that up to return into the school banks. He started to study photography at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, but decided to take a break from that as well. All kind of decisions that turned out quite well for Gabriel. Creative and funny, the talented 35 year old from Valley Village, California is rapidly making name for himself as onrushing photographer. And why not. A fresh breeze in both art and fashion photography he captures his girls and dudes as he classifies them in sexy style, often with a humorous wink. Being a young photographer, Gabriel is open for new ideas and styles, and he clearly shows that in his recent work for AJAXX63. Catchy tee’s, an incredibly sexy man and great photography… yes, it is a beautiful world afterall. –B-

Ricardo Muniz' Sancocho

IT IS REALLY UNBELIEVABLE THAT IN THE 21ST CENTURY WE ARE STILL HAVING SO MANY PREJUDICES AND STEREOTYPES. THE BIGGEST AND MOST COMMON ABOUT RACE OF COURSE. THAT IS WHY IT IS SUCH A BLESSING THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE RICARDO MUNIZ WHO ARE FIGHTING TO MAKE A CHANGE. AND THAT IS WHY IT IS SUCH A BLESSING FOR US TO COUNT HIM AMONG OUR FRIENDS.

Latino’s are all strippers and sex objects. It would almost be funny if it wasn’t such a serious stereotype prejudice. Ricardo Muniz is a New York based photographer who, over the years, has taken it as his mission to change this general and small-minded opinion about Latin models. And not without result. About three years ago he launched Deilín Sanz, a model who definitely can be categorized as one of his muses. And Deilín is living proof that hard work leads to good results. Deilín Sanz is of course not the only model in the colorful portfolio of photographer Ricardo Muniz. We have had the privilege to introduce many of his men here on BeautifulMag and today is no exception.

Sancocho is a Caribbean latino stew, where everything but the kitchen sink is thrown into a pot and slow-cooked until you get a nice, thick, meaty concoction. This is how Ricardo Muniz described the series he sent in for our consideration. We have to say, we are not quite sure if we agree with the mix and match image we get when hearing Ricardo’s explanation, but we do like the nice, meaty and slow-cooked sensation. Sex objects or not, there is no doubt Ricardo’s men are hot.

It is not the first time we realize Ricardo Muniz' work always has a darker, more rough undertone. Maybe it is because Ricardo lives and works in a the big city of New York, but his work really has that masculine, sexy, urban emotion. Not something you would expect in a swimwear shoot. But we are certainly not complaining. Ricardo Muniz’ Sancocho is a mix of Latin, white, Asian and West Indian models with swimwear from ES Collection, Vizeau, AussieBum and Wettackle. Yes, if Ricardo mixes, he mixes well. –B-

The world of pornography can hardly be described as being very fashion-conscious but in the eyes of 2 independent labels, Vizeau underwear and Esculpta jewelry, porn-stars like Alexy Tyler offer just the right attitude to showcase their work. So what does men's jewelry, sleek underwear, and porn really have in common? Creating unusual ways of presenting their work, as it seems to be perfectly in line with the mentality of the creations of these two labels, both of which have already demonstrated their innovative and highly original style approaches in their fields. A liberated and healthy view on sexuality and style as synonymous with the man of the future fuels the imagination behind both brands.

Vizeau is the company that proved a long time ago that one-legged jockstrap for men could not only be feasible - and incredibly sexy too, and Esculpta, the jewelry maker that succeeded in the challenge of removing the 'sleeze factor' from the words 'Cock Ring' in making this item into a classy and sensual piece of jewelry. The relationship between Vizeau and Esculpta goes back to 2007, when both teams first started discussing their common aesthetic grounds and discovered a synergy to build upon their original ideas. Since then they have been working on several projects (including this photoshoot) and are now preparing the launch of a brand-new label of unique risqué creations (which is still a secret until November 2009). Nikias, the chief designer from Esculpta describes the project to come as in effect being "equivalent to the men's bulge revolution". "Prior to Le CockRing, Le CockRing II and of the exciting new innovation we're unveiling in November," says Nikias, "items created for male enjoyment were usually purchased in a sleazy sex-shop with some embarrassment and conviction, so it was therefore a great challenge to re-design this enjoyable toy and make it as fine and as beautiful as to provide immense fun and elegance, if not pride to wear."

'See Through Me' is the name of Vizeau's new range featured in the shoot. The jewelry items featured and designed by Esculpta are not for sale, but were designed specifically and made-to-measure for the model to wear. They made this a fun and liberating couture jewelry experience for the Esculpta team. –B-

MODERN DAY HEROES, TRENDSETTERS, SELF-CONFIDENT IN WHAT THEY DO AND ENLIGHTENING EXAMPLES FOR OTHERS. FRANK LOUIS, CHRISTOPHER UVENIO, RAFAELE RIVERA AND BLUE MICHAEL ARE ALL ROCK STARS IN THEIR OWN TERRITORY. SO WATCH WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY JOIN FORCES.

The handsome and talented Rafaele Rivera literally is an emerging rock star. Born in Puerto Rico, he followed dance and voice classes and his first dance single "I Need Someone" (2006) burned up many New York City dance floor. More recently Rafaele has been working with music producers Beppe Savoni/Dinamix, Worren Rigg and Daniel Bagley/RythmDB, completing tracks "Goodbye, Goodbye," "Survive," "Mi Corazon" and "Livin on a Dream" for his upcoming album under SoundGroove Records and Blaze Imprints. If you believe Rafaele has something familiar: it is very well possible you have seen him before. Rafaele has made appearances on the Iyanla talk show and had a role on daytime soap, All My Children. He has recently appeared in major motion picture films such as Sex and the City, The Day After Tomorrow, and Hitch. He is certainly one to watch and these photos prove he's got what it takes to deliver. 

Fashion designer Christopher Uvenio is not a complete stranger at BeautifulMag. Already we have seen his amazing creations in a beautiful series by Joseph Sinclair [Dark Angels - The Christopher Uvenio Collection], and Christopher has a history in collaborating with Frank Louis. Christopher Unvenio can look back at 16 years of experience in both designing and illustration for several international fashion houses, such as Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Bob Mackie. Like Rafaele, Christophe’s career also involves TV and film. His creations have appeared several times in Award winning daytime drama The Bold And The Beautiful as well as in Disney film Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion.

Frank Louis has appeared many times on the digital pages of BeautifulMag, most recently with his discovery of the super hot Phil Ductan as well as the strip tease series featuring Chris Campanioni. Always first in line when it comes to trying something new, Frank was immediately intrigued when Christopher Uvenio told him he had designed something very edgy, sexy and rock star-like. Knowing this would require the hand of a master make-up artist, Frank contacted Blue Michael. Playing on the fact Christopher Uvenio carries the cross as a logo, Blue Michael found inspiration in a collection of rosary beads he has collected over the years. Together with dramatic glam make up and the creations of Christopher, it was enough for Frank Louis to shoot a series of portraits of Rafaele that radiates such a sexual rock star image, that you almost hear the music come through the image. The whole series is a perfect example of what happens when great talent comes together. The magic of  creating a rock star. –B-

Barcelona based ES Collection, the high quality Spanish swim- and underwear brand, is definitely on its way to become a big player on the international underwear market. Hat start as a brand that offers comfortable and fashionable products, has become a real lifestyle brand, and thus ES has adopted that given has their new concept. Something that comes perfectly to life with their new Fall/Winter 2009-2010 collection and the accompanying campaign.

Besides his creations, ES Collection owner Eduardo Suñer is passionate about mountains and nature, and the activities it allows you to do, such as skiing and biking. Shooting his latest collection in the Andorran snow was a dream come true for him. “Sport, mountains, positive attitude, healthy life and green environment. A love for Mother Nature, that is what we wanted to say with this campaign and with our new products,” Edu explains. The product speaks for itself, but what you don’t see at first glance is the introduction of bamboo fabric, which is completely in line with ES Collection’s new direction.

Being a 100% Spanish brand, ES Collection decided to use real Spanish men for its campaign. The three guys - Jesús, Octa and Will – all come from the sunny Canary Islands, so shooting underwear in the snow must have been quite a challenge for them. “Saturday was OK, with a temperature between 10 and 5 degrees Celsius, but Sunday it was cold and windy and it dropped 5 degrees,” Eduardo remembers with grin. “The guys were amazing though. Not being used to this kind of weather, they seemed to have the best time skiing and playing in the snow, both with and without underwear.” As before, photographer Joan Crisol signs off on the tasteful and energetic imagery that brings the ES products so well to life.

Looking at the Fall/Winter 2009-2010 line it becomes obvious the products have little to do with what ES Collection brought before: there are two basic cuts, the low rise brief and mid boxer, both with a 3 and 5cm elastic waistband. Used materials are mostly combinations of cotton, modall and lycra and the earlier mentioned bamboo fabric. “We are and take care of our environment,” Eduardo continues. “Therefore we use more and more all-natural fabrics.” The prints are also brand new. Next season we can expect to see foxes, eagles and monkeys on the ES underwear. But according to the creators, the diagonal striped graphic will be the absolute topper in next season, available in 12 different color combinations.

Yes, ES Collection is definitely and unstoppable on the way to the absolute top. Not just with their product lines, but also with their selling points. Having flagship stores already in Barcelona and Bilboa, ES can also be found with boutiques in Madrid, Ibiza and as of July 1 in Valencia. The ES Collection shops do more then selling the product. They truly spread the lifestyle concept, and plans for international concept shops are in the making. –B-

Sweat It!

WHEN DECIDING TO SHOOT SWIM WEAR THE MOST LOGICAL PLACE TO DO SO WOULD SEEM TO BE A POOL. BUT JERRAD MATTHEW WOULDN’T BE JERRAD MATTHEW IF HE WOULDN’T COME WITH ANOTHER IDEA. THE ONLY THING HE HAD TO DO IN ORDER TO COME UP WITH AN ORIGINAL CONCEPT WAS TO ASK HIMSELF THE QUESTION IN WHAT SURROUNDING HOT SWIMWEAR WOULD BE EVEN HOTTER. THE ANSWER WAS CLEAR.

Remember Jerrad Matthew whom we introduced to you last march with his cover story Flashed? When we first learned about the work of this 27 years old photographer it became pretty clear to us we were dealing with a very talented creative person. Which Jerrad proofs again with his original swim wear photo shoot which he calls Sweat It!

Jerrad proofed his great vision already in his cover story Flashed!, and edgy series of sexy glamorous images shot against the backdrop of the mens’ room of a gay bar. When Jerrad contacted us for the second time, he surprised us with a very different selection of photos. It’s An Abercrombie Life is almost an editorial. A homage to the famous brand and the lifestyle it stands for. And now there is Sweat It.

With support of hair and makeup artist Hanna Wagner, the donations of aussieBum, N2N Bodywear, Ami Sanzuri, Andrew Christian and Rufskin, and a rich cast of 6 models, Jerrad sought out a steamy sauna to create a sweating atmosphere in order to make these products – and these guys – look even hotter than they already are. The often unusual angle Jerad used in this series makes you feel that you are actually their, watching the sexy men relaxing, and the sweat that undoubtedly triples over your forehead and between your shoulder blades by seeing the result of this shoot only adds to the experience. –B-
